About Us

River Runts is a family operation.

 

Cam & Cyndy Kirkpatrick have owned dogs for over 40 years; they've also trained professionally, and had their own column in the Yukon News on dogs when they lived in Whitehorse.  Cyndy is the breeder, vet, business manager and chief decision maker, while Cam just mostly lets the puppies lick his face.

Megan & Mark Gould make up the other half of the team. Megan, who is Cam & Cyndy's daughter, has been a dog owner and trainer since she was 5 years old. She's an excellent trainer that understands dog behaviour and how to modify it. Mark's also had dogs his whole life- but didn't really make them a focal point until he married Meg. Together, they have Ben, an American Staff, and Tex, a Malinois (and star of stage & screen!), as well as River Runts stud, Gunner.
